Lawn Renovation/ Restoration
Look at our other services...
Turf is susceptible to many types of diseases and drought damage Even more destructive are grubs and surface feeding insects. Grubs are beetle larvae that feed on the root of the grass plant, killing your lawn from the ground up. In turn, skunks and other rodents will dig into your lawn looking for these larvae, putting the lawn through its final destruction phase. Once this damage is done, the lawn cannot be saved and must be restored. The lawn in the left hand picture shows damage that is quite common in the northeast. It was taken after only grub damage, before rodents started digging. The photo proves the amount of damage a lawn can receive. The picture to the right is the JRT Lawn~N~Landscape response to the problem. The infested lawn was completely removed and new seed was laid and fertilized. The final result is a complete turnaround after only three months. If your home has an infestation and needs restoration, JRT has the knowledge and ability to provide you with the best possible service. To prevent this from happening, consider a grub control treatment with your fertilizing program. JRT has never had a grub infestation on any lawn we have treated with a control application.

How do I know if I have grubs?
The first visual sign of grub damage is brown spots on your lawn. However, brown spots can be caused by a number of things such as drought. Pull a clump of the grass with your hand. If it comes up very easy and feels like the roots of the grass are not holding to the ground, it is possible that you have damage from grubs. If this is the case, have a JRT professional meet with you to inspect your lawn and discuss options to prevent further damage.
